With Personal Capstone Projects starting up this semester, we're going to start off the brainstorming process with a blogger. Your list of problems are due by Thursday (1/19) before 3rd Period and will be a graded assignment. Here's your task:
- Come up with a list of at least 10 unique problems/issues that you've seen or experienced around campus / the community. These problems can of any type / category.
- Examples of these are as follows:
- Teachers in the Voyager program aren't recognized enough
- The bulletin boards around campus are ugly
- It's hard to know what resources are available to students
- We don't have enough LHS spirit apparel
- Etc.
- Don't come up with problems around campus for the sake of hitting 10. Try to really think about your life on campus and specific areas you think genuinely could use improvement.
- Try not to be generic, though. "Student Stress" is obvious. Take it a step further: "Students are always stressed the week before finals", or "Students are stressed because they have nobody to rant to". Yeah, these are random, but the simplest problems can have brilliant solutions.
- You're only coming up with problems for right now. You can jot down any quick ideas to solve them that you may have, but remember: there's are a million different ways to solve one problem. You'll have plenty of opportunities to pitch your crazy ideas and passion projects soon enough.
We'll be categorizing these problems and doing idea generation next week. Chat me if you have questions!
