Recognition's Campus Wellness

       Hello Guys!
     
       Recognition would really appreciate it if y'all could leave some feedback on the campus wellness project that we did.

      As a reminder, Campus Wellness included:

• Passing out candy (twix) to students on the monday of finals
• "HAPPY HOLIDAY" cards with a pen attached for staff
• Hot chocolate station on the last day of finals
• Cups were provided, Toppings: Sprinkles, Marshmallows and Whipped Cream

Berserk Week Feedback

Hi All!

Senior Games+Spirit Squad

What we did for this season's sports teams:
-top of the quad announcement
-poster at the top of the quad (w seniors names)
-spirit squad form sent out through schoolloop blast + facebook group
-"spirit squad" within our class (point system)
-200 senior game pamphlets passed out the morning of each senior game
-facebook event for sports teams that wanted one made for them
-gatorade and granola bars for varsity teams

Athlete of the Season Gift Ideas

Please tell us if you have any gift ideas for the athletes. Remember we cannot give them gift cards as a gift since we won't be reimbursed. Each player will be receiving a gift with the cost of $10. So make sure your gift ideas is under that!

Club Hunger Games

Hey guys!

Club Hunger Games is a planned event for the beginning of the second semester. As I talked about in class, the event is planned for around 3-5 days consisting of a different competitive event every day. The participants of this event is aimed more towards club members than club officers. This is really basic idea as of now, so please let me know what you think should happen regarding this event.

Homecoming Documentation

Hello everyone!

Tech would still like to get some feedback regarding our homecoming documentation project.

We briefly talked about the following items in class:

• Driving traffic to the ASB website for photos + videos is a good way of utilizing the website.
• Late release of photos + video had many students complaining, a expected date of release should be announced.
• Albeit the release was late, it's nice to know when they'll be coming.
• Students enjoyed the 360 videos we've experimented with this year.
• 360 videos didn't work well with all devices.
• Quality for most of the photos were spectacular, but there were a couple photos that weren't edited.
• Many students recognized and appreciate tech's effort. 
• 2018 liked how planter boxes were recognized via the planter box video.
• 2019 appreciates all the work tech put into documenting homecoming. 
• 2020 also liked how tech took pictures and videos because many students liked to post them.
• It would be nice to see markers for dances in the video description, perhaps separate video for separate dances?

Club Food Day Semester 1

Hey everyone!

Please comment any positive + negative feedback that you have on Club Food Day. 

Some things we noticed:

-People gave fake tickets to the clubs and the clubs did not notice

-The quad was not so crowded that you can't walk through it 

-Ticket sales went pretty smoothly, most people bought their tickets on Friday
-Also for promotions, we couldn't really start promo earlier because of homecoming! We created the facebook event the monday after the homecoming dance.

Homecoming Rally Video (10/7)

Hi everyone!

It's great to hear so much positive feedback on the rally video played at the homecoming rally!

However, Tech would still like to get some feedback from the rest of the class. We understand how dimming the lights prior to the video helped gained the audience's attention and how the subtitles did a good and effective job.

What do you guys think of the video plot? Did the transition from the video to the rally work out well? Should future video have more video effects to get and retain audience attention? Is there anything new you want to see tried out in future videos? Please let us know :)

Hi everyone,

Please give Rec some feedback on this year's keynote speaker event, but please make sure it wasn't already mentioned in class. If you don't have any additional feedback, it's fine.

Feedback given in class

Speaker

-Didn't understand lynbrook culture and perspective, maybe choose different topic

-speech was unconnected, similar to Miller

-didn’t really touch on stress

-speaker shut down students who were trying to talk

-repetition of speaker isn’t good, people remembered the same things

-not around stress in comparison to bullying

Assembly in general

-good event, provided a platform for students to honestly talk about issues

-students didn’t want to wake up for it

-people disliked it because they had to wake up early

-too long assembly

-act of bringing student body for a communal discussion is a good step forward

-should continue, consider more often

-no schedule in several years, not the norm. (which is why students may have been upset)

-challenge day is similar but on a more personal level

-don't put assembly at the end of grading period

Leadership Kickoff Discussion

Hi Everyone :)

Thank you to all of you who came out these past two days - we really hope that you enjoyed the ASB kickoff events. We've actually never run the kickoffs in this specific manner before and would love to hear your feedback and suggestions :) Even if you weren't present for all of these activities, please share whatever thoughts you might have on questions that you can answer.

Please respond to the following questions by next Thursday evening (6/16):

1) Monday's Leadership Kickoff in Room 506

- What was your favorite activity? Why?

- What was your least favorite activity? Why?

2) Tuesday's District-Wide Conference

- We talked at length about what seemed to be some shared goals for all of us who were present (increasing student participation, producing more effective publicity, creating a stronger sense of lynbrook community, and creating events that students genuinely enjoy and/or that relieve stress). What are some specific actions we can take to achieve each of these goals?

- What's one thing you learned from another school that you think we should bring to Lynbrook?

3) Tuesday's Kayaking BBQ Social 

- Keeping in mind the price, would you recommend the kayaking social to next year's leadership team? Why or why not?

- Is there anything you would have wished was different about the kayaking BBQ social?
