Lip Dub

Hi ASB!

Tech is looking for even more feedback from the lip dub that happened recently. Things you can talk about include aspects about: promotion, rehearsals, the route, execution, directions (including signs, maps and tape around campus) and incentives!

Proposed Constitutional Amendments Blogger

Hi All,

Here are the comments we've already received in-class:

1) There was a suggestion to keep the backup LEG plan.

2) The amendment regarding the impeachment process will be further discussed over this blogger and be voted on separately tomorrow.

3) The amendments regarding the speaker of LEG council and his/her responsibilities will be further discussed over this blogger and be voted on separately tomorrow

If you have any further comments/questions that you would like addressed, Adhiv will be working with Matthew so that he can answer some of your questions/address your concerns via this blogger himself.

We do NOT have a lot of time tomorrow during brunch for full-blown discussion—at most, we will be able to host a Q&A for our presenter. Therefore, please make sure to comment anything you'd like to discuss below, TONIGHT!

Viking Socks

Hey ASB!

The design to our current mock up of our crew socks can be found below. Do you have any suggestions on how to make the design more spirit related? Perhaps changing the color to navy or adding "Lynbrook" would make it more clear.

Also, we're thinking about passing on this project to Spirit next year. They're planning on selling spirit apparel next year, and our project visions align really well. What are your thoughts on letting Spirit pursue this project in the following school year?

Spring Rally Feedback!

Hey Guys!

Feel free to leave any feedback you have about the spring rally!

There are also some specific things that we'd like to collect feedback on for future spirit commissioners:

-This rally had no video and no "plot", did this make the rally better or worse, did you notice that this change had been made?

-This rally was so crammed that we were forced to cut rally games to end on time. Considering how hyped people get about the rally games, would it be worth trying to shorten other aspects of the rally (for example reducing the time it takes for sports teams to be recognized) in order to fit in more games?

Welcome to Lynbrook Video

Hi everyone!

Adhiv, Robyn, Francis and I are excited to begin filming for our "Welcome to Lynbrook Video". We plan on touring the entire school and its facilities, and showing video clips of events that happen at specific locations (ex: when we tour the quad, we'll briefly show Homecoming clips, powderpuff clips, club food day, etc.).

Since this video will be shown to all the Freshmen, we do not want to underrepresent or forget any groups or events on campus. Please a look at our filming calendar and locations at the link below. There are two sheets on the spreadsheet — Events and Tour. Events refer to actual events that we have to film or have already been filmed, while the Tour sheet shows the order of where we will be going during the video.

Also, our team has taken note that renovations will be happening soon. This summer, they will be renovating the fieldhouse but they will only be renovating the quad next summer (2019). Our video will still be relevant to the rest of campus as well.

Surprise Carnations Feedback!

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions for next time's carnations if we do this again? (probably during Kindness Week in April!)

What did you guys hear from your friends? Did you see a lot of people holding carnations? Did people actually give them to each other? Etc, etc.

Kindness Week Suggestions

For Kindness Week in April, Rec will be hosting different activities each day!

Here are the ideas we have so far:

1. carnations pt. 2
2. free hug day
3. spin-the-wheel thing, cake walk
4. tie bags of candy to bikes, cars, things like that
5. ASB Snapchat– similar to Thanksgiving
6. show up at random clubs with surprises
7. cookie decorating/ give a cookie to someone
8. something similar to the "before I die" wall
9. HOLH in pairs- talk about the other person
10. nominate kind people for a prize?
11. kindness paper chains 
12. personalized bookmark grams (small scale)
13. photo booth
14. music in the quad
15. compliment notes/slips of paper

These will probably run during lunch and maybe brunch :)

Hearts Week Feedback

Changes this year

• Labels instead of handwriting hearts
• Keeping up posters until 3PM each day, rather than taking down during lunch/7th period
